What made you apply for the grant?
As the Dean of the newly established Faculty of Law at the Catholic University of Croatia, I recognized the Ludovika Scholars Program as an opportunity to establish institutional relations between the Catholic University of Croatia and Ludovika – University of Public Service. I saw this as a chance to initiate discussions on student and teachers’ mobility between the two institutions. Additionally, I wished to meet colleagues with whom I could engage in discussions about comparative experiences and legal solutions, thereby further enhancing my own knowledge. Finally, it is a great honor for me to have the opportunity to conduct a workshop on the topic “What Constitutes a Fair Proceeding in Administrative Matters?” as well as to deliver a lecture on “Digitalization of Judicial Proceedings in Administrative Matters as a Means of Ensuring the Right to a Fair Trial.” I believe that these two events will also serve as a valuable opportunity for exchanging experiences in the field of administrative law and the digitalization of the judiciary.
What do you expect from the program?
First of all, I would like to commend the organization of the program so far. I received all the necessary information in a timely manner. In addition, the organizer made great efforts to arrange an exceptionally rich program for me, including numerous meetings with representatives of Ludovika – University of Public Service. If everything continues as it has so far, I expect an excellent program and the beginning of a long-lasting friendship between our academic institutions.
What role does this grant play in your professional career?
Participation in such a prestigious program will undoubtedly contribute to my further professional emancipation and advancement within the academic community. Moreover, I believe it will open opportunities for new forms of scientific collaboration. Activities of scholars in international programs like this one are particularly valued in the process of professional advancement.
