Petar Teofilović

Petar Teofilović is a former Provincial Ombudsman of Vojvodina, professor of Law at the Faculty of Legal and Business Studies of the Union University, Novi Sad. His expertise lies in human rights, minority rights, with emphasis on the rights of national minorities, and the institution of Parliamentary Ombudsman.

What made you apply for the grant?

The grant opens great opportunities to get acquainted with Ludovika university, its programs, and its mission. It is also a chance to meet the academics from Ludovika, and scholars from the region who participate in the program. Connecting scholars in this way may result in a vivid exchange of ideas and views, and may open perspectives to participants that they haven't had in mind earlier.

What do you expect from the program?

To participate, even in the small scale, in the work of the University. To meet academics and students from Ludovika, and to connect with colleagueas from the region. Some experiences and practices may potentially be applied at my university too. Potential future cooperation.

What role this grant play in your professional  career?

Possibility to continue contacts with colleagues that I met through the program, and for future cooperation (researches, texts, visits, lecturing, etc.) on issues of mutual interest. Possibility to get acquainted with some new ideas and researches, particularly on issues that are not in the focus of one’s research but may be important for topics one is dealing with. The iternational perspective on various issues may be an added value in one's researches and writings in the future.
