A foreign
specialist visited the Faculty of Water Sciences of the Ludovika University of Public Service in the framework of the Ludovika Scholars Program (LSP) between 28- 30 April 2025.
Liliana Ceclu, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Engineering and Applied Sciences of Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu Cahul State University in Moldova, took part in the meeting organized for LSP scholarship holders on April 28, where she was welcomed by Rector Gergely Deli. Afterwards, the Department of Water and Environmental Policy hosted Liliana Ceclu, who held a workshop on the environmental characteristics and problems of the Republic of Moldova and the Black Sea Basin. The program was attended by students and lecturers of the International Water Governance and Water Diplomacy master's program within the framework of the Student's Science Club.
During the workshop, an extremely active and inspiring dialogue emerged on the challenges and best practices of water management in the two countries, with particular regard to cross-border water management issues and the possibilities of sustainable water use. The plan for joint research opportunities for the future was also outlined at the event.
The LSP fellow visited the Baja campus on April 29, where she gave a public presentation on “Integrated approaches to ecological monitoring and sustainable management of natural and aquatic resources in the Republic of Moldova and the Black Sea basin”. Afterwards, she inspected our measuring devices and watercraft used in Danube measurements, and also visited the Danube gauge section.
On the last day of her stay in Baja, the fellow took part in a round-table discussion. During the meeting, possible areas of cooperation were examined, focusing on the launch of joint training programs and projects. As part of a campus tour, and accompanied by the dean and heads of department, she was introduced to the institution's infrastructure.
