The Faculty of Law Enforcement hosted a Serbian police psychologist as a guest lecturer in the framework of the Ludovika Scholars Program

The Faculty of Law Enforcement hosted Dr Dag Kolarevic (PhD), police psychologist and professor of the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies (Belgrade, Serbia), in the framework of the Ludovika Scholars Program between 9-13 October 2023.

The guest lecturer’s first professional program was a public lecture titled „Police psychology in Serbia – police work and education” at a conference organised by the Department of Criminal Psychology on 10 October 2023. Dag Kolarevic was one of the main presenters at the conference (Dr Erika Malét-Szabó Pol. Lt. Colonel delivered a presentation from the Hungarian side), where he introduced the history of the education of police psychology, its main areas and its place in the Serbian law enforcement system. On the very same day, he led an investigative interrogation workshop organised by the Department of Criminal Psychology for the full-time students of the Faculty of Law Enforcement, who are non-commissioned police officers.  At the end of the day, Dag Kolarevic delivered a presentation in the framework of the class „Instrumental credibility examination of testimonies” tutored by Árpád Budaházi, associate professor, with the title „Scientific examination of polygraph practice in Serbia”. The guest lecturer’s last professional program was a lecture for the students of the Saint George Special College for Advanced Studies titled ”Offender Profiling Research in Serbia” on 11 October 2023. The lecture was attended by Hungarian experts as well, who do offender profiling in practice, and their questions aimed at the guest lecturer led to a substantive professional conversation at the end of the presentation.
